To replace the guide bushings, please proceed as follows:
  1. Disconnect the electrical and pneumatic supply of the entire conveyor system and secure against reconnection.
  2. Remove the three fasteners (M6) of the particular slider including the steel sheet.
  3. Remove the guide bushing(s).
  4. Clean the area and insert the new guide bushings.
  5. Install the steel sheet and tighten the bolts.
  6. Lubricate the particular sliding surfaces and remove the excess grease.
  7. Shift the sliders manually and check the full function of the sliders.
  8. Check the entire unit automatically with power supply.
Don’t touch the unit during pneumatically operated tests.
 
All manual test must be done unpressurized!
 

Intersection Replacement guide bushings


To replace the lifting cylinder please proceed as follows:
  1. Disconnect the electrical and pneumatic supply of the entire conveyor system and secure against reconnection.
  2. Unscrew the holder of the pneumatic cylinder with the attached lifting cylinder on the bottom of the Intersection.
  3. Loosen the four mounting bolts of the lifting cylinder and remove the cylinder.
  4. Mark and remove the pneumatic supplies from the cylinder.
  5. Remove the head of the cylinder rod and mount it to the new cylinder.
  6. Connect the pneumatic supplies to the new cylinder, according to the marks.
  7. Install the cylinder in reverse order.
  8. Check the unit for proper function.

Intersection Replacement lifting cylinder


All LOGO!MAT Components are developed to make very little preservative maintenance necessary but all components will last way longer if the following tasks get do in the shown intervals. The maintenance and inspection work listed below is to be carried out at the listed intervals to keep the warranty and to follow up constantly if the LOGO!MAT Component is working well. Any defects found must be documented and fixed before operating again. All time specifications are based on single-shift operations.

With an interval of one (1) month the following preservative maintenance should be carried out:
  1. Check the parts for wear and damages.
  2. Visual check of the unit for damages and detection of leaks.

The pneumatic installation of the Intersection has to be done according to the pneumatic diagram to ensure the correct functions of the unit. The connections of the pneumatic tubes are designed for a diameter of 6 mm. It must be ensured that the air is dried and filtered and the pressure is set in the defined range.
 
The supply and exhaust air for lifting and lowering of each side guide should be done by throttle valves to adjust the speed of the motions.
 

Sensors for the stroke control of the sliders have to be installed into the provided holders and the switching distance must be set up properly. The wires have to be protected against chafing and secured against unintentional removal. Please pay attention to the correct switching distance and the matching size of the sensors.
 
The controls of the sensors and used logic can influence the function of the Intersection greatly. This is in the responsibility of the operating company.
 

The installation must be performed by trained and authorized personnel only. All tasks that are not described in this technical documentation must be performed by LOGOMAT personnel or with their supervision to maintain the warranty for the LOGO!MAT Intersection. The set up and the installation can affect the functionality and LOGOMAT does not warranty installations that are not supervised or performed by LOGOMAT personnel.
